Introduction

Liina Malva is special education teacher and lecturer. She holds MA degrees of Educational Sciences and Special Education, as well as PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Tartu. At Tallinn University, she teaches courses related to mathematics learning difficulties and special needs assessment, supervises students’ theses and internships, and participates in research projects on mathematics learning difficulties. Liina also works at a K-9 school, where her responsibilities include special needs assessment and developmental work in Estonian language and mathematics. Liina is currently working toward a qualification in teaching students with dyscalculia (The Dyscalculia Association, UK).
