PÖFF Shorts at BFM and elsewhere
Two programs loved by many – Animated Dreams and Sleepwalkers – continue this year together as a joint festival PÖFF Shorts. It’s mission is to bring the freshest top level shorts and animated films from all over the world to viewers.
Two programs loved by many – Animated Dreams and Sleepwalkers – continue this year together as a joint festival PÖFF Shorts. It’s mission is to bring the freshest top level shorts and animated films from all over the world to viewers.
Five international competitions were compiled from close to 4000 films and in addition to these, PÖFF Shorts screens interesting special programs where you can see new festival hits and unknown talent, among them student work from the Estonian Academy of Arts’ Department of Animation.
The legendary and coffee-filled Night Cinema continues on the 23rd of November at Erinevate Tubade Klubi, where you can enjoy crazy comedy, surreal anime and short horror until the early morning.
For the first time in the Black Nights Film Festival anime program history the Danish animators Michelle and Uri Kranot present their unique VR installation Nothingness Happens, that you can parttake in on the 24th and 25th of November at Tallinn University’s Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication School.
On the last day of the festival, the 26th of November there will be an annual comics fair cohosted with the Estonian Comics Society. You must register to attend with your own comics (sildre@gmail.com).
