What will the new restrictions bring to Tallinn University?
Today, at a government press conference, it was announced that from 14 December, all Estonian educational institutions, including Tallinn University, will be closed for contact studies.

At Tallinn University, from 14 December until the beginning of the new year (if the government won't decide differently), only exams and assessments, individual consultations and practices are allowed at the university. Regular contact studies, trainings or events therefore are not allowed at the university.
Lecturers must be flexible when organising exams and assessments. In addition, when a student comes to the university to take an exam, then they have to make sure that they are healthy. If a student must stay in self-isolation, then they may not come to the university to take an exam. In this case, students definitely need to inform their lecturers about the self-isolation in order to find a suitable solution for taking the exam (for example to take the exam in some other form, follow-up exam, additional exam etc.).
The new restrictions also include a ban on organising trainings on university premises. In addition, from 14 December, sports activities may be done only individually, group trainings are not allowed. Only professional athletes are not subject to such restrictions.
The university is open for it's employees, yet recommends everyone to work remotely
