The 8th GGP User Conference will take place at Tallinn University
Add to calendar
iCal calendarThe biennial conference gathers users of the international data infrastructure Generations & Gender Programme (GGP) from various countries. It is a social science infrastructure that creates and delivers the data necessary for analysing population and social development in contemporary societies, as well as for developing evidence-based policy solutions. At the core of the infrastructure is the Generations and Gender Survey (GGS), a panel survey together with supporting services (ggp-i.org). The first round of the survey took place in the 2000s and early 2010s, and the second wave started in the early 2020s. Both rounds include about twenty countries, mostly from Europe but also beyond. In Estonia, the programme is known as the Estonian Family and Fertility Survey (EPSU). Since 2019, the survey has been included in Estonian roadmap of nationally important research infrastructures, with coordination handled by the Estonian Institute for Population Studies at Tallinn University.
The conference is a unique platform for researchers analysing GGP data, as well as for policymakers and a wider audience, to present recent research findings and exchange ideas.
