YouthLife project´s three-day workshop “Improving Research Funding Targeting and Application Skills” takes place 21-23 April 2021 via ZOOM. The workshop will provide training for successful finance targeting and grant applications skills. Key elements of the training programme include (a) developing the substance and writing up a top-notch scientific proposal for personal and consortium grants, (b) devising and handling the management structure of a consortium, (c) realistic budgeting of time and costs, (d) dissemination and valorization, and (e) Dissemination and Communication Plan, Data Management Plan, Ethical Aspects and Open Science.

The workshop is organized by the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) and carried out by the following professors, researchers and experts from NIDI:  Professor Aart C. Liefbroer, Professor Kène Henkens, Professor Anne H. Gauthier, Professor Helga de Valk, Researcher Mioara Zoutewelle-Terovan, Project controller Ben Kuiperbak and PhD candidate Vytenis Deimantas.

Programme

Duration: 26 academic hours, incl pre-assignment and 24 contact hours

Target group: Researchers and PhD students of TLU from all disciplines

Group size: max 20 persons

Active participation of participants is required. Participants are requested to provide a brief (1/2 A4 at the max) statement about their experience in writing grant proposals and about their aims in this regard for the next three years.
