Amal Dharmapriya Premarathna Deliwala Ambegoda Gedara

I am a biochemist and biotechnologist specializing in bioresources, with a strong research focus on the application of natural products. (seaweeds) in the food and pharmaceutical industries. My expertise spans the entire research process, from project design to scientific writing, and includes extensive hands-on experience with in vivo and in vitro experimentation. I have worked with a wide range of microalgal and macroalgal species, conducting and publishing impactful research on their bioactive compounds. My current research explores the medicinal potential of natural products, particularly polysaccharides and other bioactive molecules derived from seaweeds, investigating their wound-healing, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities using cell culture systems and animal models.
