1 | ONE THING YOU WANT TO PASS TO STUDENTS

Take film-making very seriously but do not take yourself too seriously and never be afraid to laugh at yourself Believe in yourself: the original idea is always better than a copy Be flexible and open to changes: "Look forward, don't look back!" Keep the focus (both in life and when with camera) Put the people you are filming first: it is they who put food on your table Learn to own up to your own mistakes, then try not to repeat them Delete the unnecessary when editing: "Keep it simple!"

3 | YOUR OWN MOST IMPORTANT TEACHER

The skyline and an erratic boulder of my home-beach have been my most important teachers. They taught me to see the world in a grain of sand. Now I have made a short film about them called "Wombstone" (eesti k. "Emakivi"), it will be premiered next spring.
