This is a 3-day workshop offers young film professionals better background understanding of 1 AD task, duties and obligations in commercials. Workshop will shortly introduce some of the basics of 1 AD and 1 AD team roles and their working tools. Grits Makarenko who has worked as 1 AD for more than 10 years will also share his personal experience on set, as well as talk about special conditions filming.

About Grits:

Grits has worked as 1st AD since 2006. He comes originally from Ukraine and his resume includes over 500 successful projects, including over 300 with international crews. He has worked as Assistant Director with world famous film directors and DOPs, such as Jan Kounen, Thed Lennsen, George Jeccel, Joni Botha, Luis Gerard, JP Seresin, Dario Piana, Andrew Bolter, Ben Dolphin, etc.
