Sónia Sousa is an Associate Professor of Interaction Design at Tallinn University. Her research expertise and educational background are in information technology and systems (Software Design and Human-Computer Interaction). Meanwhile, she completed two PhDs (2006 & 2023) and two postdoc projects (2010 & 2013), exploring the effects of trust in software design and evaluation from a Human-Computer interaction perspective. She heads the Join Online MSc in Interaction Design and the Trustworthy HCI research lab. She is a member of expert panels in Finland (AKA), European Commission, USA (AFOSR) & Swiss (SNSF). She is an active researcher in Human-Machine Trust, HCI design and evaluation methods in recently funded European and USA projects (H2020, CHIST-ERA and AFOSR).
