This talk presents the long-term observed changes in several climatic variables associated with global warming in Mexican coastal states.

Also analyses the influence of decadal low-frequency climatic oscillations or modes of climatic variability (AMO, NAO, PDO) on several societal important activities (agriculture and fisheries) in Mexico´s coastal zone.

Finally will be presented the simulation of the temporal structure of the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation (AMO) and their use for predictive purposes in the context of coastal resource management.
