If you are reading this blog post, you are most likely planning to continue your studies at an university abroad. Therefore, it’s the most exciting period for you, as the application process to Tallinn University is now open for 2017/2018. [caption id="attachment_27890" align="alignleft" width="300"] Ani is also our student ambassador.[/caption] About a year ago, I was also sitting at my computer, surfing on the internet 24/7, to find out more about the admission. Oh, there was mess in my head. The above statements could possibly make you smile, because you are in the exact same situation now. If it is so, don’t worry, because you are reaching the goal. Let me start… admission process is really stressful but my experience was quite good with Tallinn University. Me as a non-EU student went through the following steps. I’m sure you have already found the programme you are interested in. If not, go and find out more about the programmes provided by Tallinn University. There might also be a country specific requirement for sending your documents. It’s very important to read everything attentively to organize and plan everything ahead to meet the deadlines. The thing that I found very comfortable during my admission process was online application. You need to upload the required documents to the system and submit it before the deadline. It helps you to do everything successively. The application fee for applying to Tallinn University is 80 euros. You can apply for two programmes while paying the application fee once. Then submit the written part of the admission exam. The written part (or an assignment) of the admission exam is described on each programme page. After all these procedures you will be contacted by the Study Counsellor of the respective School for arranging a time for the admission interview. This is one of the most important parts of your admission process to Tallinn University. Make sure that you know exactly why did you choose Tallinn University, why do you want to apply for this particular programme, why is it so interesting for you, how can you contribute, what is your experience, share worthy stories, what are your expectations, why do they have to choose you … If everything is okay, you will be asked to send your educational documents and the online application cover by post. After the documents have arrived by post, they will be forwarded to Estonian ENIC/NARIC Centre for evaluation. The evaluation results will be published in one month. You will be notified of the result via the application system. When you go through all this you will be informed of the positive decision. Hope we will meet at Tallinn University. Best of luck!
